Why Having An Affair Is The Worst

Having an affair might be an interesting thing for you maybe because it gives you the excitement and the thrill that you need to spice up your life but it will deal damages to the person romantically involved with you. I have seen my friends become devastated after their partners had an affair with another person. I have seen them cry over the person who replaced them with someone that isn’t really worth it. Trust me, it was painful for me to watch them be like that, how much more the person who was feeling it. You don’t really want to cause such pain to the person who really loves you, right? If you are still not convinced, I will tell you why you should not have an affair. 

The relationship you have with your lover is temporary.

           You may have thought that what you have with your lover is true love and that you will be happy with them by your side but you are wrong. When you are in affair, everything is not certain. Your relationship is not certain to last long which is why I don’t really like having an affair. Many people I know who were in an affair have lost everything precious in their lives because they cling to that temporary happiness they felt when they were with their lovers. 

What you did to someone might also be done to you.

           Since you cheated on your spouse to be with your lover, you never really know when karma will hit back. Maybe one day, your lover decided to leave you for a younger man and now you are left alone with no one but yourself. Always remember that in life, there is a balance. I always believe that what you did to others will also go back to you so if you have wronged the others which in this case is your wife or husband, you will be punished by the heavens for that actions. Maybe not now but sooner you will have a taste of your own medicine. 

No secret will remain hidden.

           Maybe we all know about this but I will just repeat this, no secret will remain hidden. All of it will be brought to light sooner or later. So having a secret affair will one day be revealed to your spouse and this will make your relationship a mess. Not only your relationship but both of your lives will be changed because of your secret affair. I always say this to my friends that if they do something crazy, they should first think about the long-term consequence or they might regret it in the end. 

Your reputation will be lost.

           Infidelity will never be normalized and when you do cheat on your spouse, your reputation and image will be lost. You will be viewed as the person who destroyed their relationship for another person, you will be labeled with anything concerning infidelity and cheating and this label will be brought until the end of your life.
